Microsoft Outlook for Mac won’t start solution


For me the problem just started out of the blue. As usual I try to open Microsoft Outlook but the icon just keeps jumping in my dock. All of a sudden the program exits.

Solution for Microsoft Outlook not starting on Mac

The only solution I could find is to delete the Outlook email profile. If you are using IMAP this is a quick fix. I found the solution for my problem on theĀ Microsoft website.

Steps to fix the problem

  1. Open Finder and go to the Applications folder
  2. Right click Microsoft Outlook and choose Show Package Contents
  3. Go to Contents > SharedSupport and then open Outlook Profile Manager
  4. Delete the main profile and start Microsoft Outlook
  5. Reconfigure you mailbox
