For me the problem just started out of the blue. As usual I try to open Microsoft Outlook but the icon just keeps jumping in my dock. All of a sudden the program exits.
Solution for Microsoft Outlook not starting on Mac
The only solution I could find is to delete the Outlook email profile. If you are using IMAP this is a quick fix. I found the solution for my problem on the Microsoft website.
Steps to fix the problem
- Open Finder and go to the Applications folder
- Right click Microsoft Outlook and choose Show Package Contents
- Go to Contents > SharedSupport and then open Outlook Profile Manager
- Delete the main profile and start Microsoft Outlook
- Reconfigure you mailbox
